ACEP Bursaries 2020 – 2021

ACEP Bursaries 2020 – 2021. The African Coelacanth Ecosystem Programme (ACEP) was established in 2000, following the discovery of a living population of coelacanths off Sodwana Bay. Initiated by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), ACEP has evolved into a multi-disciplinary east coast research program. Primarily funded by the DST, ACEP utilizes research equipment and platforms from various research agencies and is managed by the National Research Foundation through NRF-SAIAB.

The program’s mission is to foster sustainable development benefiting South African citizens by enhancing knowledge of the country’s east coast marine and coastal environment and its resources.
