PPECB Job Description

The programme provides the incumbent with exposure to various products, training, assessments, and soft skills development. Selected delegates will receive a dedicated training plan and supervision from the region. The training includes:

  • Technical competencies worth a minimum of 50 credits based on regional requirements
  • TITAN 2.0® competency
  • Product theoretical course (AETP module)
  • I-thrive (e.g., time management, conflict resolution, etc.)
  • Additional soft-skills courses for professional development
  • Additional courses to prepare for the new world of work (NWOW)

Delegates may have the opportunity to participate in Relief Duty, gaining exposure to additional products, with accommodation and S&T allowance provided during placements.

Responsibilities Seasonal Talent Development

  • Inspect and certify perishable products
  • Inspect the handling, storage, and transport of perishable products
  • Ensure the correct application of quality management systems, BMS procedures, and working instructions
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Build and maintain good relations with PPECB clients
  • Communicate with clients regarding specific tasks and outcomes
  • Participate in the relief duty roster
  • Continuously improve in their area of responsibility

Job Requirements Seasonal Talent Development

  • National Diploma in agricultural or food science disciplines
  • National Certificate: Perishable Produce Export Technology (AETP) would be advantageous
  • Practical experience, theoretical knowledge/exposure, or competency in citrus
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to work independently or with minimum supervision
  • Valid code 08 driver’s license and own reliable vehicle

Selection Criteria

  • Relevant service history at PPECB
  • Competency records (verified by L&D)
  • Performance records at PPECB
  • Disciplinary records during service/contract at PPECB

Preference will be given to applicants who have not participated in the 24-month programme before.
