Job Purpose

The incumbent in this role will be responsible for capturing data on train movements and maintaining communication with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Capturing Data

    • Inland and export rail sales for debtors and the finance department.
    • Actual road sales tons and receiving/capturing external road deliveries.


    • Rail intents and distributing train schedules.
    • Third-party sales and trains on SAP.
    • Various reports as required.

General Administration

    • Performing reservations from stores.
    • General office administration.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12.
  • Studying towards a relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Driver’s license Code EB (08).

Minimum Experience

  • MS Office Proficiency.
  • Knowledge of Transnet documentation and basic stock and material keeping will be advantageous.
  • SAP experience will be advantageous.
  • Transnet experience will be advantageous.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to stay calm and focused on the task at hand under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of individual and team performance by driving achievement of goals, targets, and financial objectives.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce consistently high-quality and accurate work.
