Clicks Group is Hiring a Credit Returns Clerk. Clicks is looking to recruit a permanent Credit Returns Clerk (RTV) to work within the Operations department of United Pharmaceutical Distributors. The role will be based at UPD Durban branch and will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.

Job Purpose

To ensure that stocks returned from customers are processed according to SOP, credit passed, and stock handled in the appropriate manner.

Objectives: Credit Returns Clerk

  • Ensure that supplier returns are accurately checked and logged, considering description, quantity, and batch and expiry date.
  • Daily follow-up with suppliers for approvals and uplift.
  • Ensure claims are captured correctly on both platforms, namely SAP and Knapp.
  • Log all claims on the supplier portal (Create claims Inbound).
  • Ensure the RTV tracker is updated daily and submitted to the Supervisor.
  • Ensure RTV block bins are stock checked to verify batch, expiry, and quantity.
  • Engage with the buying department and stock control regarding recalled and supplier-damaged stock.
  • Move damaged stock to the destruction cage for disposal.
  • Retain all supplier returns with supporting documentation for future reference purposes.
  • Adhere to supplier policies such as 1, 3, 4, and 6 months, as this will eliminate rejections from suppliers.
  • Adhere to scheduled supplier uplifts; only Management is allowed to turn suppliers away.
  • Ensure that all security protocols are not breached.
  • Adhere to all deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12
  • 1 Year’s experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, preferable.
  • 1 Year’s experience of customer returns/RTV processes (product handling and crediting)
  • MS Office proficient/ PC Literate

Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic product knowledge
  • Warehousing and distribution industry knowledge
  • Communication skills
  • Knowledge of SOP’s regarding credit returns/RTV, stock recall, and Good Warehouse Practice (GWP)
  • Good people skills

Essential Competencies

  • Good interpersonal skills – able to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal communication).
  • Ability to work individually with little to no supervision
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Good administrative and organizational skills essential.
