Candidate Requirements

To be eligible for the ACT Nyoloha Scholarship Programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Education: Currently in Grade 12 or have obtained university exemption.
  • Financial Need: Require financial assistance to pursue a qualification in performing or visual arts at a South African tertiary/accredited institution for studies commencing in 2025.

  • Previous Participation: Not a participant or finalist in the 2023 ACT Nyoloha Scholarship Programme.
  • Commitment: Willing and able to commit to the 6-month duration of the programme.

  • Visual Arts: Submit four different and original pieces of work, including a portrait, a landscape, and two original artworks. Also include a short bio and artist statement (70-100 words each) detailing the reason for the creation of your artworks.
