Transmission emerges as the pioneer division to achieve legal separation, with the NTCSA having already obtained registration and requisite licenses approval from the National Energy Regulator of South Africa (NERSA). The appointment of the NTCSA Board marks a critical milestone in the operationalization of this separation.

Eskom Turnaround Plan

The legal separation into three entities is integral to Eskom’s Turnaround Plan, outlined in the Department of Public Enterprises’ “Roadmap for Eskom in a reformed electricity supply industry.” This strategic initiative aims to transform the electricity industry and enhance the reliability, affordability, and environmental sustainability of power supply for South Africans.

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 22 years of experience in auditing and consulting.

Ms Anu Sing
