Internships in Supply Chain Management at the Department of International Relations (DIRCO) in 2024.The Department of International Relations, in partnership with Imbumba Aganang and PKF Octagon Incorporated, is pleased to announce the availability of Supply Chain Management Internships for 2024.

  • Closing date: 14 January 2024
  • Programme Duration: 24 months
  • Commencement date: 1 April 2024
  • End date: 31 March 2026
  • Number of Participants: 6
  • Stipend: R 7,043.31 per month for National Diploma, Bachelors/Honours Degree & R 8,584.36 per month for Master’s Degree.

The Department of International Relations and Cooperation serves as the foreign ministry of the South African government, managing diplomatic relations with foreign countries and international organizations. The Minister of International Relations and Cooperation oversees the formulation and execution of South Africa’s foreign policy.

Imbumba Aganang Private Party (RF) Proprietary Limited, in collaboration with DIRCO and PKF Octagon Incorporated, presents a tailored learnership/internship programme spanning thirty-six (36) and twenty-four (24) months. This initiative aims to contribute to skills development and provide unemployed graduates with valuable work experience.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Minimum Requirements: NQF 4 (Matric) / NQF 5 upwards will be beneficial
  • Advantageous Qualifications: Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management

ELIGIBILITY | SELECTION REQUIREMENTS

  • First-Time Participants: Only first-time Learnership Programme participants considered
  • Oath of Secrecy: Successful candidates must be willing to sign an oath of secrecy with the Department
  • Availability: Applicants expected to be available for selection and interviews at a predetermined time, date, and place
  • Transport and Accommodation: Candidates must have their own transport and accommodation as learners will be placed at the Head Office in Pretoria
  • Age Criteria: Only South African citizens aged between 18 and 35 are eligible to apply
  • Verification: All appointments subject to citizenship verification, reference checks, and security vetting
  • Foreign Qualifications: If holding foreign qualifications, provide an evaluation certificate from the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA)
  • Application Submission: Failure to submit required documents/information will result in application non-consideration
  • Late Applications: No late applications will be considered
  • Correspondence: Limited to short-listed candidates; unsuccessful applicants not contacted within three (3) months after the closing date
