Islamic Relief is a non-governmental organization that provides aid to disaster-affected countries. Guided by Islamic principles of peace and global care outlined in the Qur’an, the organization facilitates makeshift communities’ access to essential services, education, and sanitation through contributions from individuals worldwide.

Closing Date

Bursary Program Details

Who Can Apply: The Bursary Program is open to undergraduate students pursuing degrees in various technical fields, including Accounting, Science, Economics, Engineering, Information Technology, and more. To be eligible, candidates must meet specific criteria:

  • Age between 18 and 24
  • Completion of Matriculation
  • Pursuing or willing to study for an undergraduate degree in specified subjects
  • Enrollment or willingness to enroll in approved public colleges
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Not a recipient of any other bursaries or scholarship programs
  • Commitment to academic excellence and community service post-graduation

Bursary Coverage

Successful applicants will receive an allowance for required textbooks, directly transferred to the university of enrollment.

  • Proof of parental/guardian income (payslips, affidavit, pension statements)
  • Death certificates in the case of both parents or guardians’ demise
  • Certified copies of tuition charge estimates
  • Summary of academic and personal accomplishments (within 250 words)
  • Description of community participation (within 250 words)
  • Motivating letter outlining deserving of the bursary grant (within 250 words)
