NSFAS Semester 2 Applications

NSFAS has released the 2024 application dates for TVET Colleges. Due to the different academic timelines, NSFAS has provided application dates for each trimester and semester.

Application Dates

Semester 2 applications for NSFAS bursaries will open from 9 July 2024 and close on 26 July 2024. This gives students a window of just under three weeks to apply for NSFAS funding.

How to Apply

Students should apply for the academic cycle in which they intend to register. The application process remains the same as for the first part of 2024. Applicants should apply through the myNSFAS portal on the NSFAS website.


If students need help, they can visit the financial aid office at their college. NSFAS emphasizes that students facing challenges or needing guidance during the application process can seek assistance from their college financial aid office.

Create or Log into Your myNSFAS Account

  • If not, create a new account on the myNSFAS portal.

Complete the Application

  • Click on ‘Apply’ and answer the questions on the screen.
  • If required, upload any supporting documents.

Submit Your Application

  • After completing the application, click ‘Submit.’
  • You will receive an application reference number.
