Job Purpose

The Learnership Programme provides a chance to work and gain a qualification simultaneously, especially for those passionate about healthcare and superior patient care. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, it aims to qualify individuals as Pharmacist Assistants.

About the Learnership

The Learnership Programme involves completing a National Certificate: Pharmacy Assistance Learnership Programme and a Further Education and Training Certificate: Pharmacist Assistance through the accredited Pharmacy Healthcare Academy. It encompasses theoretical and practical components, leading to a registered qualification on the National Qualification Framework (NQF).

Duties and Responsibilities

As a Learner, responsibilities include completing training contracts, attending required training interventions, submitting a Portfolio of Evidence, and providing support within legal scope of practice as outlined by the South African Pharmacy Council.


Essential requirements include completing Grade 12 with specified minimums in Mathematics, English, and Life Science (Biology)/Physics.

Skills and Abilities

Required skills include customer service orientation, teamwork, integrity, accuracy, attention to detail, numeracy, literacy, and computer literacy. Essential competencies involve adhering to principles and values, working with people, delivering results, following instructions and procedures, relating and networking, planning, and organizing.

How to Apply Clicks Group Learnership

Successful applicants will enter into a work-back agreement, committing to work for Clicks as a qualified Pharmacist Assistant for a period equal to the length of the learnership. Contractual hours are 45hrs/6days.
