About the Learnership Program

This initiative is part of Matjhabeng Municipality’s commitment to addressing youth unemployment and providing skill enhancement opportunities. The program aims to train qualified and unemployed individuals aged 18–35 in Road Traffic Law Enforcement, leading to a certificate at NQF Level 4.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must be South African citizens with a Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate, a valid driver’s license, and a clean criminal record. Medical examination proof is required. Candidates must permanently reside within Matjhabeng Local Municipality’s jurisdiction.

Training Requirements

Candidates will undergo a 12-month training program at Matjhabeng Traffic Training Academy, including written and physical assessments. Maintenance of fitness levels and adherence to the academy’s code of conduct are essential.

Special Conditions

Completion of the training does not guarantee a permanent position. Successful candidates will undergo extensive physical training, adhere to the Firearm and Ammunitions Act, wear a uniform, and work shifts in various weather conditions.
