Job Description

  • The Admin Clerk will be responsible for general administrative tasks at the branch, including cashier duties, COD clerk duties, answering telephones, and maintaining accurate records.


  • Matric qualification with proficiency in Accounting and Mathematics.
  • Strong numerical skills and ability to perform calculations accurately.
  • Advanced administrative skills, including experience with debtors, creditors, and cash book.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Honest and trustworthy with the handling of cash.
  • Capability to work under pressure and maintain accuracy.
  • Clear ITC and criminal record.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • General administrative functions at the branch.
  • Assisting cashiers and COD clerks when required.
  • Managing telephone communication and switchboard duties.
  • Handling COD invoices and matching them in the system daily.
  • Managing customer deposits and ensuring timely banking.
  • Recording daily transactions accurately and sending reports to Head Office.
  • Assisting with payments and maintenance of cash books.
  • Handling petty cash transactions.
  • Managing stock levels and petty cash floats.
  • Handling credits and following up on discrepancies.
  • Filing duties as necessary.
